Etta has fought against the weather and its effects nearly her entire life. And with her current home beyond repair, there is no end in sight.

Your donation provides a "Home Sweet Home" for Etta, in the form of a "new" mobile home that will meet her needs.
Funds will be used to provide a used mobile home, moving expenses, utilities connection, installation of HVAC system, and basic maintenance.

Her roof is failing, many windows are broken and leaking, and rain continues to cause irreversible water damage to her walls and floors. External doors don’t open & shut fully anymore due to warping issues with the frame of her current trailer. There is no fix.

Etta relies on a wood burning stove in the winter to stay warm. At age 76, hauling firewood is a burden that she won’t be able to (literally) carry for long. With your help, she can enjoy the benefits of central heat and air for the first time in her life.

Quality of life has alot to do with one’s living conditions and physical health. Bare subfloors and ongoing plumbing issues in both the kitchen & bathroom make it hard for Etta to keep up with a home that will meet her needs. A flushable toilet and carpeted space shouldn’t be a luxury.
